Ethereum Classic is an open, decentralized, and permissionless public blockchain, that aims to fulfill the original promise of Ethereum, as a platform where smart contracts are free from third-party interference. ETC prioritizes trust-minimization, network security, and integrity. All network upgrades are non-contentious with the aim to fix critical issues or to add value with newly proposed features; never to create new tokens, or to bail out flawed smart contracts and their interest groups.
I'll leave these as they are for a little while (About 12 hours from now). If you check the trade history of these accounts vrs my posting history you'll see none of the losses made were from trades I posted. Actually sometimes I inverted the trades I posted to generate losses. You can see this in the "History" tab and of course you know how to see my Reddit posts. Heading into Monday I will attach new accounts to this and we can then run phase two of the test. I could just upload accounts already running and proftable to this, but I think it's best to do everything in real time and in the open. From now on I will be trading the same positions as I post and tracking the results of these. You can find these results at the links above as of Monday.
Now I'll trade and track results properly and we get to do a proper experiement into the real motives and nature of everyone involved. I've said it for months, the truth of people will be revealed by their own actions. Just a case of waiting untl the time is right. From now on I'll only trade the things I post in my subs/forum. No messing about. If they bomb this time, I suck. If not, let's see what happens :)
Hello, I‘m on this algotrading journey starting with crypto for exactly one year now. My strategies have not been profitable yet. I have programmed my bot, teached it all the technical indicators I got to know myself first, have left it live trading and losing half of its assigned budget. I‘ve read alot about backtesting on this forum and started learning this wierd pine script language on Tradingview. I got good looking backtest results based on some simple RSI/MACD scripts. The bot got some fresh budget assigned to lose some of it again. Leaving it running for three months the blue backtest profit hill is slowly turning red as well in the meantime. Overfitted to the max obviously. I tried implementing my own backtester to add some machine learning to even more overfit the overfitted values. I somehow left it in the dark for now and have never used it for live trading yet reading so much about overfitted backtesting within this sub. Since two months I have now completely stopped using backtesting due to this disappointing experience and completely went towards paper trading (using virtual budget on my bot). I have also tried to minimize usage of technical indicators because of the lagging. I consider all the coins instead of only BTC now. The price action is clearly linked to BTC tho (very visible!). Managing my (virtual) budget and allocation towards trades is a big learning for me as well. I slightly look into backtesting again to validate my strategies. Still not profitable but won‘t give up there. I feel heavy doubts sometimes using it but it gives back hope as well. How do you balance your efforts from backtesting compared to live/paper trading? With my full time job I have somehow developed a ritual when coming home the first thing in wifi range is checking the paper trades that my bot has done over the day. Most often re-writing the whole strategy due to bad performance. I need to get more patient on that. Next I want to read more about Forex. Ordered my first book about it yesterday. Just wanted to share my story. Hope it can motivate or helps in some way.
This May Be Out Of Topic But May Help Us In The Long Run
Hi guys. I believe I've found myself surrounded by great personalities here on this platform and I'm grateful I joined this social forum. We have really smart and interesting people here who stand to gain a lot from these financial markets. The mistake I'd hate for us to make is not investing in something less volatile than the forex markets. We are lucky enough to make money while a lot of our dear friends who do 9-5 are losing jobs left right and centre, and stand to lose their properties if another job doesn't come up. At first I wanted to have a lot of people to admire my social media with my possessions but I'm glad I was humbled by the market before I could make a fool out of myself. Maybe bringing dignity to this industry is what we need to do. With that being said, a lot of banks are repossessing assets across the world right now. Once your monthly profit is good, you'd get really great deals right now on cars and throw them on Uber services. Houses that are repossessed below market value currently are pretty attractive, revamping and renting out or toss them on Airbnb for a couple of years before reselling wouldn't be a bad idea especially since the market will have been restored. There's auctions all over the place and art, cars, houses, heavy duty caterpillar assets are so irresistible. Let's do this guys. Have an amazing, green and easy week full of pips and money. 💰
Can anyone tell me anything about how this ETF works. Seems to be gaining traction both on forums, 212 hotlist and in share price. I have tried to do some reading up on it but only finding news articles about how it's growing. FYI Have never traded forex or crypto but this seems to be a fairly good looking ETF, I would just like to understand what it's price represents? Is it sort of pegged to the price of bitcoin? and by buying into the ETF what am I actually buying?
Just to share (in case it's of interest for anyone here), I've been open-sourcing some of the elixir packages I've been writing for market trading and analysis. You can find them here: https://github.com/ElixirTradingTools And there's an associated discussion on the elixir forums here. Contributions welcome. I'd like for this to be a collection of libraries that can be used for any type of trading or analysis you're wanting to do, meaning you could use these packages to do quant stuff in jupyter notebook with ielixir (https://github.com/pprzetacznik/IElixir), or build a trading bot, or build a trading platform. Whatever you're into, be it stocks, forex, crypto, etc. Elixir is a really fun and powerful language for these use cases, so give it a look.
Hi guys, I have started studying forex trading for a week now spending 4+ hours a day to consume as much knowledge as possible and I already started with a demo account and have 4:2 win loss ratio. I came really fast to the conclusion that portfolio size is the key to create an actual living out of forex and I see many youtube vids where traders claim that they double their portfolio every week and sell a course on that which seems to me logic wise close to impossible. ( I might be wrong) My question is, what is reallisticly possible to achieve with a portfolio size of 5k to begin with? After many threads and forums I realized that gaing 10% on a trade is high. It feels for me very unclear what genuinely is achievable on the long run (6 months +) with a 5k portfolio assuming that I have 60-70% success rate of making profitable trades. Thank you.
